New Generation Bible Fellowship

I was born, March 1, 1966 in Minneapolis, MN. After living in Minnesota my family relocated to Monroe, LA to be near my ailing grandfather. It was there I was introduced to King Ollie Missionary Baptist Church. I sang, learned to play piano... and developed into an accomplished musician. Yet, God had something..."different" in mind for my life. I found Christ at age 15. And soon, without warning - I found myself witnessing to everyone who would listen. After the jeers and ridicule that comes with finding Jesus, I soon began focusing on the choir and choral directing.

I moved to Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA where I continued studies in Computer Science and working with the gospel ensemble on campus. However, my life in the ministry was still on hold. Running out of money, I moved to the Midwest to find work and hopefully finish college. I moved to St. Louis in April 1994....and began playing at the New Whitestone Missionary Baptist Church. However, God STILL had something "different" in mind for me. I ran from the call of ministry in my life until this critical junction. Faced with great obstacles in finding work... a place to live... I announced my call to Ministry in September of 1994 and preached my first sermon in July 1995 titled "What in Hell do you Want?"

As I grew and developed in ministry... I finished college at Concordia College and University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. The Lord allowed me to find a good wife, Michelle Perry who has hung in there with me through good times...bad times....great decisions.... and not-so-great ones.... Our family went from a son (Wyvon Boykin) to a daughter (Yvonne Perry). We purchased a home and dedicated our lives to Divine Love Ministries under the leadership of Elder Billy McCulley. However, God STILL had something "different" in mind for us....

It was the senseless murder of my brother, Jeffry Perry; in Monroe, LA that finally opened my eyes to the fact that God had a "Higher" calling for me. After a few years of meditation and studies in Ministry.... He led us to the opening of "NEW GENERATION BIBLE FELLOWSHIP". A church dedicated to the spreading of the Gospel of Jesus by the teaching of His Holy Word.
